Warts

Warts are small, rough, usually painless growths on the skin caused by human papillomavirus. There are many varieties of warts on different parts of the body, and since they are contagious, it is advisable not to pick at them as you may spread these lesions to other parts of your body or to others. Warts can be treated with an antiviral medication, as well as with electrodesiccation and curettage depending on the size and location.
